  ထြက္ခြာသည္။ စြန္႕ခြာသြားသည္။
    He left the room for a moment.
  သူသည္ အခန္းတြင္းမွ   ေခတၱမွၽ ထြက္သြားသည္။
    They left at about six o'clock.
  သူတို႕ ေျခာက္နာရီေလာက္က   ထြက္သြားၾကတယ္။
    I have left that job.
  ကၽြန္ေတာ္ အဲဒီအလုပ္က ထြက္ခဲ့ျပီ။
2. to go without taking:
  ထားခဲ့သည္။ က်န္ရစ္သည္။   ေမ့ရစ္သည္။
    She left her gloves in the car.    သူသည္ လက္အိတ္ကုိ   ကားထဲတြင္ ထားခဲ့သည္။
    He left his children behind when he
    went to France.
  သူ ျပင္သစ္ႏိုင္ငံသုိ႕ သြားစဥ္က   ကေလးမ်ားကုိ ထားခဲ့သည္။
3. to allow to remain in a particular state or
    condition: ထားခဲ့သည္။
    She left the job half-finished.
  သူသည္ အလုပ္ကုိ တစ္၀က္တစ္ပ်က္   ထားခဲ့သည္။
4. to let ( a person or a thing) do something
    without being helped or
    attended to: ထားသည္။
    I'll leave the meat to cook for a while.
  အသားကုိ ႏူးေအာင္ (မီးဖုိေပၚ)   ထားလုိက္ဦးမယ္။

5. to allow to remain for someone to do,
    make etc: လုပ္ကုိင္ရန္ထားသည္။
    Leave that job to the experts!
  အဲဒီအလုပ္ကုိ ကၽြမ္းက်င္သူေတြ   အတြက္ ထားလိုက္ပါ။
6. to make a gift of in one's will:
  ေသတမ္းစာျဖင့္ ထားခဲ့သည္။
    She left all her property to her son.
  သူ၏ ႐ွိသမွၽစည္းစိမ္ကုိ   သားအတြက္   ေသတမ္းစာျဖင့္ ထားခဲ့သည္။
    leave alone not to distrub, upset or tease:
  မေႏွာင့္ယွက္ဘဲထားသည္။      အသာထားသည္။
    Why can't you leave your little brother
     alone?   ညီေလးကုိ သူ႕ဘာသာ   သူေနပါေစလား။
    leave out not to include or put in:
  ျခြင္းခ်န္သည္။ က်န္သည္။
    You've left out a word in that sentence.
  အဲဒီ၀ါက်မွာ စကား   တစ္လံုး က်န္ခဲ့တယ္။
    left over not used; extra:
  အၾကြင္းအက်န္။ အပုိ။
    When everyone took a partner there was
    one person left over.
    အားလံုးအတြဲကုိယ္စီ တြဲလိုက္တဲ့အခါ   တစ္ေယာက္ပိုေနတယ္။
